Welcome to WORLDFIRST Ministries

WORLDFIRST Ministries is dedicated to providing needed Christian manpower to non-government organizations during time of disaster.  WORLDFIRST Ministries trains, equips, deploys and manages committed Christians from different denominations to provide disaster relief services to those in need.

Purpose of the Ministry:
To provide volunteer disaster relief opportunities for Christians of all denominations to offer relief and share the love of Jesus to those in need during time of disaster and crisis.

Mission Statement:
To have all of God’s people throughout the World, First in our hearts and service, by providing physical, emotional and spiritual relief and encouragement to those suffering from natural or man made disasters.”

We shall accomplish our mission by working independently or along side other disaster relief groups such as The Salvation Army, American Red Cross and other disaster relief entities by providing volunteer manpower or equipment for feeding, construction, or other related relief operations.

Guiding Scriptures:
“Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid…”  “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14 & 16 KJV

WFM assists victims in Wichita Falls, Texas

Flooding in Kansas, Oklahoma and throughout the north, central and eastern areas of Texas has been widespread and devastating to many of the residents in those areas. Unseasonably excessive rains have caused swollen rivers, creeks and lakes to flood areas never before experiencing flooding, forcing many residents in these areas to seek shelter elsewhere as their homes and belongings were damaged or destroyed.

Our team was called by Texas Salvation Army to aid those flood victims in Wichita Falls where over 900 homes were damaged or destroyed as the Wichita River flooded it's banks and spilled up to 6' depth of water on the town.

Our team of six, Lee Lester and Ronnie Hinkle from Longview, Bruce and Pat Walters from Grapevine and Sydney Harvey and Jim Perian from Elgin, outside Austin, responded to the call and spent last week feeding over 400 victims each day as they manned two TSA canteens ministering in the most impoverished and devastated area of the city. The people were gracious and very appreciative of their help and the team was able to minister and hand out many tracks to encourage and uplift the victims. Pat related meeting a small, frail women, 107 years old, that was sharing her meager home with ten family and neighbors taking turns sleeping on the couch.

The Salvation Army was extremely pleased according to Lee with our exuberance in cleaning up the canteens and their stationary kitchen and serving delicious meals by our professional chef, Jim. Major Branscum promised a letter of commendation to Texas State Director at TSA, Al Ritson, for our excellent volunteer service. Thank you for a job well-done, Wichita Falls Team!
